I can't do red and green...

Need some alternatives to red and green on your Christmas decorations? I just haven't been one to use that Christmas Red (Pantone 200) in a long time, hence I've elected to use many alternatives like magenta, copper, fuchsia, lime green, etc.

This has been my theme the last few years. I added copper to the teal and lime last year, and as I put things in place this time, Im sure there will be some more frequent redecorating!

Do you use red and green or something different? I'm really going to get into it this weekend!

  1. I'm not a fan of red either. I left all the items with red and santa in the attic this year, but my son keeps asking me where they are. Looks like some red is going to have to make an appearance.

  4. We do a very natural tree with pinecone garlands my husband and I made before we had children and a collection of ornament mostly related to skiing and the outdoors. I don't use any glass balls. One Christmas when we were in a rented house for a year (and all our possessions were in storage) I did a purple tree: purple, lilac and lavender balls, and the tree woven through with purple velvet ribbon. As soon as we took it down the decorations were donated to the local church. :-)

  6. I love that teal and lime green pic! Those are beautiful colours.
I think that pinks and creams and golds with maybe some black would be a gorgeous and unexpected combination as well!
I can't wait to see your place all done up. Happy Decorating! xo

  10. I'm loving all the other colors. Unfortunately, we have mostly red and white ornaments in the family room. But I have silver, white and turquoise in the living room.

  14. Well, I don't do traditional red and green myself. The past few years have been turquoise and silver or moss and raspberry. This year I'm doing my vintage white tabletop tree in different shades of green and some gold. Good luck with your decorating!
